Just a short message to Ya'll - no elk meat, but walked on some beautiful mountains with my brothers and stalked a herd that turned out to be 5 cow and 2 half grown calves. For a first time actual elk hunt, I was satisfied. I did come back to Texas with not one, but THREE old double barrel shotguns, two of which are external hammer and all three need work - I am happy!
